Make a decision – Arise

Luke 15 vs 17 – 20: 17 “But when he came to himself, he said, ‘How many of my father’s hired servants have more than enough bread, but I perish here with hunger! 18 I will arise and go to my father, and I will say to him, “Father,I have sinned against heaven and before you. 19 I am no longer worthy to be called your son. Treat me as one of your hired servants.”’ 20 And he arose and came to his father.

Most of us have read the Parable of the Prodigal son. There  is something I like about the Prodigal son – the conversation he had with himself and taking action after having had the conversation with himself. There was a choice he had to make and he chose to make the decision. He chose to face his reality and reflect and then TAKE ACTION. At the very moment a decision is made – Destiny is born.

I will arise and go to my father – I am going to arise and leave all shame behind and go to my father. Ndiyakusuka ndiye kuBawo ndithi Bawo ndonile. He was tired of being tormented; not being joyful of living a life that was not his. There was so much more than his current conditions.

intr.v. a·rose (ə-rōz′), a·ris·en (ə-rĭz′ən), a·ris·ing, a·ris·es

2. To awaken and get up: arose at dawn.
3. To move upward; ascend.

vs 20: and he arose and came to his father. He arose – wabuyela to a place of forgiveness. The pain; anxiety and any distractions were now defeated. Wayengasatyi iingxam neehagu. He was not about to give up. He made a choice and chose to leave behind all pride. He chose goodness. He decided to be kind to himself. He chose to be gentle with himself and recognised that his Blessings comes from the Father. Wabuyela kuye. Nawe usenalo ithuba lokubuyela kuye. Lisekhona ixesha and you can do it. You know what you need to present to the Lord. DO IT lisekhona ixesha.

I want to encourage you today that you still have time to ARISE and go back to the FATHER. He is a forgiving father. You need to be realistic about your situation as you go to the father. Present your case to the father with honesty. Mxelele konke ngawe. Don’t act for God. Just as you are – njengoko unjalo. If you keep on running away – you will start bleeding all over and you will start messing up things kanti you could have just pleaded your case with God. The decision can be about your finances; your relationships; your career; your marriage; your family; your life. You know what you need to arise for. Therefore do it. If you  do not like the experience make a decision and change your mind. Start thinking differently so that your thoughts can be different. You will start doing things different.

Dwell in the secret place.

We serve a loving God; a forgiving God. Our Daddy – owethu uThixo uyasithanda.

Stay Blessed.

I love you.

They came forward – claiming their inheritance (Daughters of Zelophehad)

Numbers 27The daughters of Zelophehad son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Makir, the son of Manasseh, belonged to the clans of Manasseh son of Joseph. The names of the daughters were Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milkah and Tirzah. They came forward and stood before Moses, Eleazar the priest, the leaders and the whole assembly at the entrance to the tent of meeting and said, “Our father died in the wilderness. He was not among Korah’s followers, who banded together against the Lord, but he died for his own sin and left no sons. Why should our father’s name disappear from his clan because he had no son? Give us property among our father’s relatives.”

So Moses brought their case before the Lord, and the Lord said to him,“What Zelophehad’s daughters are saying is right. You must certainly give them property as an inheritance among their father’s relatives and give their father’s inheritance to them.

They came forward – -they stepped up and saw what was going on and they showed up. It was their time. These are women of action – they did something. They were not to be kept out from their inheritance. Nothing was to stop them. What belonged to them was to come to them.

There comes a time when you just get tired of the devil messing you up and you step up; you step forward. You want to claim your blessings. These are women who say “If I perish; I perish“. This not only stops with them its generational – your children; your children’s children and their children will also enjoy the inheritance.

Somebody may have robbed you of something – you are hurting and broken; you look like you have it all together on the outside but you are in pieces on the inside. You are confused. Your inheritance is awaiting you. Claim it!! You are no longer going to live in bondage. In Jesus name we are stepping forward. We are coming to claim our inheritance.

In the mighty name of Jesus nathi sibaliwe; nathi sine inheritance we are not going to stand back – we do not belong at the back of the queue. We are more than conquerors in the mighty name of Jesus. We are the Chosen Generation, we are above and not beneath. The Queens are stepping out. We are Royalty.

Stay Blessed and I still love you.

Thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

On the 3rd September we are hosting the 2nd leg of the Women Prayer Summit in Cape Town. This is a day where we will worship and hear from the anointed women of God. The event will be at the CTICC in Cape Town at Marimba Restaurant.

CT Women Prayer Summit 2016.jpg

The theme for the Prayer Summit is set upon Esther 4 vs 14 – For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

King James Version – “For if thou altogether holdest thy peace at this time, then shall there enlargement and deliverance arise to the Jews from another place; but thou and thy father’s house shall be destroyed: and who knoweth whether thou art come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”

There are valuable lessons we learn from Esther.

  • Esther saved the Jews
  • She prepared herself for the task. Preparation time is important. She was obedient and prepared. Be prepared for the task at hand
  • She was brave  – if I perish; I perish.
  • She found favour – she found favour with the King……her obedient character and being favored by the King worked as she managed to save the Jews
  • She may had “bleak beginnings” but this did not stop her from going to the Royal House. Your background cannot hinder you from achieving great things. Stay obedient to the Lord.

In this month; may we see more women coming to the fore  – showing bravery in the work of the Lord. May we continue to pray without ceasing. Yanga oo Easther; Deborah; Abigail; Ruth and Naomi come to the fore so that lihambe ivangeli lika Thixo.

We serve an awesome God who takes care of us.

Stay in the Lord and continue praying without ceasing.

Stay Blessed

Choices – the choice sits with you

Today (3 August 2016) in South Africa we voted in the municipal elections. This is a time where political parties tried to get us to vote for them. They campaigned making promises of what they can do for the people. This is not one political party but many political parties. When most people were in the booth – they made their choice. There was only ONE political party to put a “X” next to amid all those that were listed. One could have voted for a different political party in each of the ballot papers but only ONE  needed to have a cross next to it.

This then takes me to the walk with Jesus.

Revelation 3:20: Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.

Othe wavula meaning that other may not open kodwa othe weva ilizwi lakhe wavula. No has been forced into anything we have been given a choice. Kodwa uvile. Now that uve ilizwi what choice are you going to make? Amid all the noise that you are hearing which voice and whose voice are you going to listen to? You have a choice but the right choice is to walk with Jesus. Umamkele empilweni yakho and its a decision you will never regret.

I remember a time in my life where I said but God I am young. I still need to enjoy life how can I walk with you now? Not now but the ever patient God was there looking after me. I was never left nor forsaken even in my choice to delay the walk with God.

I pray that as you made the choice today politically. You also make the right choice and come to Jesus. The choices are too many BUT walking with Him and accepting Him is the right choice – the BEST choice. You are in close proximity. You talk, laugh, listen, and share your hearts. Isnt that the best thing ever. This is a friend we are tallking about.

We rebuke any delays; any hindrances; any excuses; any fears because He is calling us by our name. We have a friend in Him.

What a friend we have in Jesus

  1. What a friend we have in Jesus,
All our sins and griefs to bear!
    What a privilege to carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
    Everything to God in prayer!
  2. Have we trials and temptations?
    Is there trouble anywhere?
    We should never be discouraged—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful,
Who will all our sorrows share?
    Jesus knows our every weakness;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
  3. Are we weak and heavy-laden,
Cumbered with a load of care?
    Precious Savior, still our refuge—
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
Take it to the Lord in prayer!
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
Thou wilt find a solace there.
  4. Blessed Savior, Thou hast promised
    Thou wilt all our burdens bear;
May we ever, Lord, be bringing
All to Thee in earnest prayer.
    Soon in glory bright, unclouded,
There will be no need for prayer—
    Rapture, praise, and endless worship
Will be our sweet portion there.

Stay Blessed and I still love you.
