I am not turning back – I have an assignment

God has blessed us and gave given us so much that we should be grateful for and you are not about to hang your head down. Ayizukugoba loo ntloko. Ewe bazakukhuza “yhuuuu nyhani” – Yes Nyhani – and I refuse to let my head hang. I am going to face the world. You are on an assignment and you am not going to quit. I am one to own my actions, you do not terrorise me by my actions at all. Just as I am – with my head high!!! Njengoko ndinjalo.

Ruth 1:16-17 – 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely,if even death separates you and me.”

Do not urge me – my mind is made up and I am not turning back – going back may mean that my head will hang down – I am pushing foward ndiphethe an assignment. In the assignment there are tears; there is a cross; somethings will be harder in the assignment. It just needs one to understand that uThixo ukhona ngamaxesha onke……..oh and it may not need other people to understand the/my assignment. Sister girl it is not easy – hay akululanga mntwana wasekhaya. BUT When you know where he brought you from – the road you travelled – that head with not hang down. Ayizugoba man loontloko – izakuthi “QWA”. You are in the assignment.

You will find yourself going into spaces and zones you never thought you’d be part of kanti its the assignment. Remember in Ruth sithe “I am not turning back”. In your assignment God will allow you to make mistakes – zivumelekile sthandwa sam – kodwa you can come back and stay FOCUSSED. You are fine my baby gal. They may say you do not look like; sing like; act like (a praying woman)- heyyyy ukwi assignment YAKHO. Your God given assignment. Bathini kanene ngo Hannah – kwathwa usele kanti uyathandaza. She did not look like a praying woman kodwa she was deep in prayer – pouring her heart out to God. Do not allow people to limit you.

In the Book of Ruth – A Moabite woman was used – ujongeke engafanelekanga for the assignment kanti uphethe okukhulu. They enemy will want you to be caught up in frilly things – even oif you do – ungabuyela back and be on track. Stay kwi assignment oyinikiweyo.

God knows when we have our issues and act a little crazy – obabu crazy(anyana). With a PhD but unobu crazynyana. Stilettos and all but unibu crazynyana. Hay man siyabazi obabu crayznyana. Kuko konke know that you have an assignment bakhona abazakusela kulomthombo wakho – abazukunxanwa kodwa ukhona. Get through the test and God is going to bless you. Hold ON!! You are hurting and disgusted but you are on an assignment, the city is looking to you.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.”

Do not turn back – push forward and know that you are on an assignment. Akululanga kulo assignment!!! You are carrying a BIG assignment and therefore do not quit there is a blessing waiting on you. The challenges and attacks will come zibona this assignment kodwa you will not turn back.

God loves you.

“Throw this woman out, and lock the door behind her!”

16 “No, no!” Tamar cried. “Sending me away now is worse than what you’ve already done to me.” But Amnon wouldn’t listen to her. 17 He shouted for his servant and demanded, “Throw this woman out, and lock the door behind her!”

18 So the servant put her out and locked the door behind her. She was wearing a long, beautiful robe,[c] as was the custom in those days for the king’s virgin daughters. 19 But now Tamar tore her robe and put ashes on her head. And then, with her face in her hands, she went away crying.

I do not even want to imagine how she felt.

My dear sister you have heard it all before. I am in love with you BUT you end up being violated. The request for a meal becomes a pretext for taking sexual advantage in this case. This is even more painful when it happens in the House of the Lord. Yes – many women have been victimised and take advantage of in the House of the Lord. The first question you may want to ask is “was is consensual or was she raped”?

Amnon said to him, “I’m in love with Tamar, my brother Absalom’s sister.”

Amnon longed for Tamar so much that he became lovesick. The name Tamar means “Palm Tree,” signifying fruitfulness. Xa ke uvuza iziqhamo you also attract species that only want to devour you. Amnon lusted after Tamar and there was no love BUT I have a problem with him mixing love and lust.

As you see with Amnon – this is someone who is used to getting his way. He uses his ways being assisted by Jonadab to rape Tamar. Kodwa ukhona the one that can stop her in his tracks. Wenza akuqhelileyo kodwa someone will stand in the gap and put a stop to this sickening behaviour.

Put this woman out . . . bolt the door behind her: Tamar deserved better treatment as an Israelite. Tamar deserved better treatment as a relative. Tamar deserved better treatment as a sister. Tamar deserved better treatment as a princess. Despite all this, Amnon spitefully treated Tamar as this woman. You deserve better treatment from the brother you fellowship with.

Another person’s bad decisions can directly or indirectly hurt you deeply but remember that God is the one fighting for you, defending you, and there to comfort you through any pain you might have (Ps.23:486:17). He will also be the Great Judge in the end and perfect justice will be had over the Enemy.

My dear sister; you may have had Amnon in your life but I want to encourage you to hold your head high. You may be feeling shame but know that we are serving a God of Restoration. You may have beeb “this thing” that has been kicked out kodwa ukhona lowo wafela wena ukuze ubuyele kuye. He is a God of restoration. You will not let that head down unless you are admiring your shoes. You will raise that head up  and walk tall. Who are you to walk tall they will ask – You are the daughter of the Most High. You are the daughter of Zion therefore YOU will Arise!! We will not have izishwayimbana in the House of the Lord. We are not going to have bleeding women in the House of the Lord.

Deuteronomy 30:3-13……..

3 that the Lord your God will bring you back from captivity, and have compassion on you, and gather you again from all the nations where the Lord your God has scattered you.
4 If any of you are driven out to the farthest parts under heaven, from there the Lord your God will gather you, and from there He will bring you.
5 Then the Lord your God will bring you to the land which your fathers possessed, and you shall possess it. He will prosper you and multiply you more than your fathers.
6 And the Lord your God will circumcise your heart and the heart of your descendants, to love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may live.
7 Also the Lord your God will put all these curses on your enemies and on those who hate you, who persecuted you.
8 And you will again obey the voice of the Lord and do all His commandments which I command you today.
9 The Lord your God will make you abound in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the increase of your livestock, and in the produce of your land for good. For the Lord will again rejoice over you for good as He rejoiced over your fathers,
10 if you obey the voice of the Lord your God, to keep His commandments and His statutes which are written in this Book of the Law, and if you turn to the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
11 “For this commandment which I command you today is not too mysterious for you, nor is it far off.
12 It is not in heaven, that you should say, ‘Who will ascend into heaven for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
13 Nor is it beyond the sea, that you should say, ‘Who will go over the sea for us and bring it to us, that we may hear it and do it?’
You are no longer “this woman” but the Daughter of Zion. You are restored and wenziwe mtsha.
God loves you.

You have come to the Kingdom for such a time as this! (Esther)

We know that Esther saved the Jewish people. She also saved Mordechai from Haman. Mordecai offended a high court official called Haman, who decided to kill not only Mordecai but all the Jews in the Persian empire. Esther turned the tables on Mordecai. She pleaded with the king at two banquets she gave, and Haman was horribly punished. He was hanged on the very gibbet he had built for Mordecai.

Esther’s reluctance to approach the King is met by stern words from Mordecai. In Chapter 4:14 he says:

For if you keep silent at this time, relief and deliverance will rise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. And who knows whether you have not come to the kingdom for such a time as this?

I may not know what you are standing or NOT standing for BUT if you keep silent at this time the people will perish. There are things that need to be fixed in the Kingdom of God kodwa if YOU keep quiet the people will perish. You know that you need to speak out against but you are keeping quiet.

1. There is a preparation time.
She allowed herself to be prepared for the task. God’s preparation time can sometimes be long and uneventful. Moses spent 40 years in the desert looking after sheep before coming to deliver the Israelites. The refining of our characters is very essential to God’s plan for our life. God cannot use a proud woman (or man).

2. We need the favour of God.
Esther found favour with the King and so did Mordecai. Even Jesus grew in favour with God and man (Luke 2:52). When you live a life pleasing to God, by obeying His will you will find favour with Him. God will also give you favour with people.

3. God works in His own time and season.
Esther got her timing right. Maybe God has put it on your heart to do something for Him. Don’t just jump into it but wait for his time. Joseph was in jail until it was God’s time for him to be released. God will move in His time when we remain faithful and alert to His leading.

4. Your background does not hinder your future with God.
Esther was an orphan. God still exalted her and used her. Some of Jesus’ disciples were fishermen, tax collectors and one was a doctor. Your background does not determine what God can do with you. Your faith does.

Stand up in the house of the Lord; you are positioned for such a time as this. Sukoyika ngokoyikiswa. Sukugungqa ngezinto zakwa Thixo. Yima umele inyaniso. Stand firm and  be a man or woman of stubborn determination. Bazakuthetha kodwa YIMA.

Stay Blessed and know that uyathandwa ngu Thixo.

Your purpose is greater than your scar

Today I am again saying phakama. Do not look down on yourself. Ndiyayazi you are disappointed; bayathetha ngawe; ziyenzeka izinto. Whatever you are touching seems to be breaking kodwa sutyhafa man. Kuthwa Greater is He in me (you) than the one in the World.

You have a Solomon inside you and your purpose is greater than your scar. That will not discourage you. Scars and all we are still standing. You will make it through your bleeding. Even with the scars we are still operational. Sisahamba nge mandate ka Thixo. Scars and all we are failing forward. Scars and all we are still smiling – we will reclaim our smiles and joy. We shall be restored to our rightful places. Restoration is coming.

Galatians 6:17 – From now on, don’t let anyone trouble me with these things. For I bear on my body the scars that show I belong to Jesus.

Even with the scars you still belong to Jesus. The scars were aimed at taking away your sense of belonging. Ungathi ulengalenge iqalile inkathazo kuba kaloku kufuneka uxhathise ngo Thixo. Iqala ngokufuna ukuxutha your identity KODWA you and I belong to Jesus. Linxebekazi lesinxenxekazi lenkenkewula KODWA man you belong to Jesus scars and all. If David got up so can you. Jesus got up so can you. We are made in His image.

Stay Blessed and as we start the week – masihambe singemi. Siyathandwa ngu Bawo. There is a purpose for your scars.

A time for …

This afternoon I  am reminded of Ecclesiastes 3 vs 2 – where there is mention of the different times and seasons that we go through as abantwana bakaThixo.

Chapter 3

1To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

2A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up that which is planted;

3A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;

4A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;

5A time to cast away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing;

6A time to get, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to cast away;

7A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;

8A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.

These are the times that we go through as people. The timing of these activities is important and HOW we RESPOND to these times is also an important factor. These times apply to every person. In ALL of these times; as a child of God know that you will get through it. We tend to focus so much on the bad times – those you will get through. God will see you through those uphill days – when you feel like usathana ukubeke idolo esifubeni. Spring becomes Summer.  Summer becomes Fall.  Fall becomes Winter.  Winter becomes Spring.  The young become aged and the new becomes old KODWA ukhona uThixo ngamaxesha onke.

Genesis 1:3 – And God said, “Let there be light,” and there was light.

There was light – as you walk in your path know that there will be light. You are not meant to live in darkness. You are meant to shine. Just hang in there. Just one more time. One more time.

“He has made everything beautiful in its time”

Liyeza ixesha where things will be beautiful – sihleli ngelothemba. Kuzakubakuhle man. Hold that head high and know that we serve an awesome God ongawalibaliyo amadinga akhe nabantu bakhe.

Stay Blessed

You are loved

Chase away the vultures?

Rizpah was the concubine of King Saul – (Nkosi yam I wonder wena waziwa ngantoni after your name is mentioned)  – U ban ban lona u….? Help us Lord, Help us Dear Lord.

2 Samuel 21:10 – Then Rizpah daughter of Aiah, the mother of two of the men, spread burlap on a rock and stayed there the entire harvest season. She prevented the scavenger birds from tearing at their bodies during the day and stopped wild animals from eating them at night.

Rizpah was chasing away vultures – she was preserving the bodies of her sons from being eaten by the scavenger birds.

In our own lives we do have scavenger birds that are after what God has placed in us and we need to preserve that. Great is HE is that is in you than the one that is in the world. We need to fight for our sons and daughters -we are going to fight what is ours. We are going  to fight a good fight – we are more than conquerors. GET UP and fight a good fight. We have authority BUT we need to USE it. Her dedication paid off – an example of a good mother. WE need to preserve that which remains – maybe kuthwe ugqityiwe kodwa oko kushiyekileyo preserve it. Oko kuncinane preserve it – the last drop – preserve it. Fight ngalomandlana; kuwe ngamandlana kodwa ngamandla and do not give up.

We need to preserve:

  • Your cry
  • the fire within
  • the Holy Ghost
  • the Word of God

Usathandwa man ngu Bawo and never doubt that.
