51 days into 2017 – stop wasting your moments

51 days into 2017 – are you still on track with your plans. Are your dreams still alive. Are you advancing or are you still circling the same mountain which may take you many years on wasted time.

Are you still clear of your goals. Are you living your life preparing yourself to reach your destination. What are you going after? What are you doing to make sure that you get there? Have you gone back to the people that are taking your energy. Are you still checking what is going on in people’s lives? Uzakwenzantoni once you get that information? Will it motivate you?

What was your agenda today? – how far have you gone in ensuring that you arrive there. Have you polutted today’s plans with trivial things? Now that you know; what are you going to do about it? Are you proud of the progress you made today?

You still have a chance to put on a fresh attitude. Have a positive attitude.

How many of the 51 days have been dedicated to Prayer? Less facebook and more on prayer. Less telephone calls and more of prayer. Less of gossip and more of conversations with God.

Prepare on the direction where you are going.

Yes they are doubting you – but you have been approved by God. Stop seeking people’s approval. Yeka ingxelo yabantu. Own your hapiness and lean not on your own understanding but that of God. Take responsibilty of your life. Phila ubomi bakho and make sure that you have no regrets. You cannot tell me that you still suffer from peer pressure. You cannot tell me that while reading this post you still have validation issues. Jonga let me give you icebo….you stand infront of your mirror and you look at yourself – wink and smile and then you go out there and chase after your dreams.

Cape Town Whole Night Prayer Summit…..in a nutshell

We held the Cape Town Whole Night Prayer Summit. This was indeed the day the Lord has made. We were soaking in the abundance of the Holy Spirit. It was such a great night. Yes we stayed up all night.

The theme of the event was based on Ephesians 3 vs 20-21. Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, 21 to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen.

Just to summarise of what I heard.

The event was held at Camps Bay High School which is placed close to the Table Mountain and Signal Hill. Besisonyuka intaba – we went up the Mountain sakhala kuThixo. We need to work  on the inner person, we need to allow the Holy spirit to dwell in our hearts. We need to ask the Lord to forgive us. When you are in the wilderness; know that you are being nourished. Thula wena – know that God is shaking you. Go to the examiner. When you are being challenged speak life into your house.

Thy will be done. God is able and you need to start with a personal prayer. Before we meet with people we need to meet with God. If you cannot pray; rememener the bible mentions “Lord teach us to pray”. May your name be kept Holy. Thetha ngaye kuye.

You are a child of God. The Power of the Holy Spirit is able. We need to accept Jesus Christ and repent. God is our father; utata wethu. The power is within you and it is that Power that will attract the ability of God. Remember kuwe kuphuma umntu othwele izulu – amandla akuwe. Xa amandla ephela entsubeni uyaphi? You need to do what God tells you to do. Why are you clever to God? This is Giod who is able to do immesurably and abundantly. Stop being foolish. Be ready to receive the Power of the Holy Spirit.

NdinguYehova igqirha lakho – ungahambi uzenzela Thixo bambi. Zonke izinto zilawulwa ngu Thixo. Umntu is a mystery even to themselves. Do not worry yourself nge mystery sukuzihlupha.

Be careful of what comes out of your mouth. Izinto zika Thixo aziphumi kwi comfort zone. Ekupheleni kwamandla uThixo ubangamandla. Ungamncami uThixo He is the maker and the provider.

Indeed we serve a living God. an awesome God. He is God of Love and the one who cares for us.

Yet I will rejoice 

Life throws lemons at us and that is the opportune time where we need to make lemonade. When famine strikes; it is the perfect time to make things work for you. Start thinking and using your God given talent.  

The wilderness you may be facing is not the end of the world. Look at Moses being in the wilderness and came back. 
Joseph was made into a slave and came back to be a Prime Minister . 

The wilderness can be a place to tame your character. Look at Ruth and Naomi. Ruth stood with Naomi and went with her to a foreign land. “Your people shall be my people”. She made a covenant. It may have been bleak but she chose to stick with Naomi.
God will make sure that there is thanksgiving at the end of your story. In your wilderness expect a thanksgiving. 

You can only cling to God in the wilderness. Be intertwined with God. You need to hold onto the Promises of God. Hold on and do not give up. Be anxious for nothing. 

Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:4‭-‬7 NIV

Speak the promise into your life. Work with your soil (your heart) and make sure that these words are planted onto the fertile soil. Do not worry about anything. 

Let peace govern your heart. The Lord loves you. Uyathandwa nguBawo.

May you be enlightened; may you have wisdom; may you be restored? Rejoice in the Lord. 

The Lord will supply all your needs. 

Yet the Lord says, “During the forty years that I led you through the wilderness, your clothes did not wear out, nor did the sandals on your feet. You ate no bread and drank no wine or other fermented drink. I did this so that you might know that I am the Lord your God.”Deuteronomy 29:5‭-‬6 NIV

Tears….allow them to flow

We tend to prevent or stop people from crying. We want them not to cry. We hold them back because they sometimes seem as a sign of weakness. Remember they are a sign that you are human.

Let them flow:

  • allow them to cleanse you
  • allow them to purify you
  • allow them to release the emotions inside

There is a misconception sometimes in the churches – when one cries some people may assume that “inkulu into eku/mphetheyo”. How I wish we could allow people to let it out in the house of the Lord. How I wish we can allow MamRev to cry; even scream in the House of the Lord and you know what this time akenziwanganto ngu MRev she is just having her money with the Lord.

Can we just allow the Rev to cry – he is having his moment with the Lord – akatyiwa nto. Can we allow the young girl to let her tears flow – allow her to have her moment with the Lord. Allow that mama to let it out – it has nothing to do with her husband or the children, she is having her moment.

John 11:35 ESV – Jesus wept

Can we just stop the tears analysis in the House of the Lord and let the tears flow. Let your own tears flow. Let it all out.

Isaiah 38:5 ESV “Go and say to Hezekiah, Thus says the Lord, the God of David your father: I have heard your prayer; I have seen your tears. Behold, I will add fifteen years to your life.

We cry out to the Lord for different reasons. It can also be tears of joy. Not all tears are coming from a place of pain.

I am leaving this place – ndiyahamba apha!!

The mind is made up – I am not worthy of this situation. There is more to me than this. There is so much more and I will go after it. I am stronger than this situation. I am powerful. Yes YOU are powerful.

Look at Naomi and her daughters in law. When Naomi’s husband and sons died they planned to get out of the “mess”. They planned to do something about the situation.

  • Ruth 1 vs 6: When Naomi heard in Moab that the Lord had come to the aid of his people by providing food for them, she and her daughters-in-law prepared to return home from there. 
  • She set out from the place where she had been, with her two daughters-in-law, and they went on their way to return to the land of Judah.
  • So she got ready to leave Moab with her daughters-in-law.

Ruth was not willing to live or be in a situation that was not fulfilling to her. She got ready to go. She set out. She prepared to go home – look at the different bible versions to get a better understanding.

When you know that where you are is not a good place – you become ready to leave; you prepare to leave. You know that there is something better out there for you, you prepare to return home. We serve a God of second chances. You know your mess – made by your or by other people it is still up to you to make your way out of your mess.
